Branch Hollow Cottage Studio Images and Story

The Branch Hollow Studio is an authentic, custom built, timber- frame home constructed and designed by the artist and located near York, South Carolina. The home serves as a period back drop for Terry's art and is a working studio featured in an article in the 2004 Buyer's Guide of Timber Frame Homes, a national building publication.
The Cottage was built with the help, knowledge and design services of the Blue Ridge TimberWrights in Christiansburg, Virginia.
The home incorporates the aesthetics found in Terry's works and was inspired by the print "Wendy's Garden" found on this web-site. The print subject, Stoneywell Cottage, designed by Ernest Gimson, is a stone cottage built in the "English Romantic" revival era of the late 1890's during the English Arts and Crafts movement. Nestled into the side of a hill, the Weisenfeld's home, framed in oak, takes visual cues from Stoneywell's layout and aesthetics.
Built in a"hollow"by the Big Branch Creek, the home celebrates it's 10 year anniversary in July.
Current residents include 3 freeloading cats, one cat loving, teddy bear dog,  2 little kids, and parents who manage the whole affair with a watchful eye and little sleep.
